Starflex Type 2 Coated Layflat Fire Hose

The Starflex Type 2 Coated Layflat Fire Hose is a lightweight and flexible delivery hose designed for reliable performance across a range of firefighting, industrial and building protection applications.

The hose features an all-synthetic woven polyester jacket with an elastomeric coating, providing enhanced resistance to abrasion and helping protect the hose in demanding working environments. The coating also provides a dirt-repellent surface, making the hose easier to maintain and suitable for regular use.

The 2½" (65mm) version is supplied complete with light aluminium couplings, with the fittings securely wired onto the hose. Other coupling options are available to suit different equipment and applications.

Manufactured to BS 6391, Starflex Type 2 is suitable for use with both fresh and seawater, and is resistant to mildew and bacteria. It is available in red or blue and in a range of diameters and lengths.

What Is a Layflat Fire Hose?

Layflat fire hoses are designed to flatten when not in use, allowing them to be easily rolled, transported and stored. When pressurised, the hose expands to provide an efficient route for delivering water over distances.

The Starflex Type 2 is particularly suitable for industrial and rural fire brigades, static building protection and other demanding water-delivery applications.
