The FireChief XTR Wet Chemical Fire Extinguisher is designed for use on Class F fires involving cooking oils and fats. The Wet Chemical rapidly knocks the flames out, cools the burning oil and seals the surface to prevent re-ignition.
Independent fire tests have established that it is capable of extinguishing a fire in a 75 litre deep fat fryer. The extinguisher is easy to use, producing a gentle but highly effective spray which helps prevent oil from splashing onto the user.
This Fire Extinguisher offers protection against class A, B and F type fires.

Checking the extinguisher for damage or defects | Pressure gauge is in the green zone and checked using an equalisation pressure tester | Verifying the hose, nozzle, and pins are assembled to British Standards |
Making sure the extinguisher is appropriate for the location | Adding identification signs | Completing the service label and certification |
Commission & Fit | ||
Installing a wall bracket or stand and adding required signage | Ensuring correct mounting height | Placing the extinguisher in the correct location (escape routes, fire points, etc.) |

A. Wet chemical fire extinguishers are designed to combat fires involving combustible cooking oils and fats, often found in kitchens or restaurants.
A. Wet chemical fire extinguishers contain a specially formulated extinguishing agent. This extinguishant, when dispersed, will react with oil to form a soapy substance. This process is called saponification. Saponification of the extinguishing agent will produce a cooling blanket which seals the surface of the fuel to prevent reignition and spreading.
A. The labels on wet chemical fire extinguishers are yellow, making them easy to distinguish from other types of extinguishers. The word 'wet chemical' will be printed in large white letters across the label.
A. Restaurants, fast food outlets, chip shops, kitchens and any business that uses oil or cooking fats.

Fire Protection Shop specialise in the supply of high-quality fire extinguishers. There are many different classifications of fire and so our products include a variety of different extinguisher types. For example, we offer water or foam fire extinguishers for solid combustibles and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers for flammable liquid or electrical fires. Each extinguishing agent comes with its benefits. Typically, water extinguishers are cheaper, produce a cooling effect and prevent reignition once the fire has been extinguished. Carbon dioxide extinguishers are clean agents, they leave no residue, are suitable for electrical fires and are often used on liquid fires which include petrol, oil or other solvents.
In addition to our extinguishers, we offer a range of fire safety products to both domestic and commercial premises. This includes the supply of fire blankets, extinguisher stands, smoke alarms, first aid kits and much more. Our entire range is sourced from reputable brand manufacturers at competitive prices. Also, all of our products carry a full warranty and guarantee and are supplied with relevant fixings where applicable.
So, for fire extinguishers, alarms and all your other fire safety needs, trust Fire Protection Shop to give you the quality, expertise and service you require.
