Subsequently, this fire extinguisher trolley is perfect for industrial and construction settings, as well as petrol forecourts, festivals, harbours, campsites and garages.
As mentioned above, this pack includes the Evacuator Sitemaster push button alarm. This alarm is designed or emergency situations and is extremely easy to use. Due to its wireless capabilities, this product works especially well in temporary buildings or premises under construction where electrical power is not yet installed. Also, this alarm has the ability to function as both a standalone unit and in a system connected to up to 20 other devices. So, whether you’re a small temporary building or a large-scale construction site, this model will work very well for you.
Also, FireShield have incorporated two fundamental fire extinguishers for a construction site. The AFFF fire extinguisher and the ABC dry powder. ABC powder fire extinguishers are especially suited to mix of fire risks, therefore, act as a good all-round extinguisher. They are suitable for solid combustibles, flammable liquids and flammable gases. The foam fire extinguisher is ideal for areas where both Class A & B fire risks exist. The AFFF is particularly suited to fight liquid spill fires such as petrol, oil, fats, paints, etc. and works by forming a film on the liquid to extinguish the fire. This extinguisher has also passed the electrical conductivity test at 35kv.
Construction site fire safety is critically important for several reasons. Firstly, construction sites are inherently prone to fire hazards due to the presence of flammable materials, equipment, and activities such as welding and cutting. The potential consequences of a fire can be devastating, including injury or loss of life, damage to property and equipment, and delays or stoppages in construction projects.
Secondly, adherence to fire safety protocols not only protects workers and property, but it also ensures that projects are completed on time and on budget.
Thirdly, complying with fire safety regulations is not only a legal requirement but also an ethical responsibility for construction companies and contractors to safeguard the health and safety of workers, visitors, and nearby communities. Therefore, implementing effective fire safety measures on construction sites is crucial for the success of construction projects and the protection of lives and property.

A. ABC dry powder fire extinguishers can be used on Class A solid combustibles, Class B flammable liquids, Class C flammable gases and electrical fires. •Class A –Solid Combustibles (wood, paper, cloth etc.)•Class B –Flammable Liquids (oils, solvents, alcohol, gasoline etc.) •Class C –Flammable Gases (propane, butane, petroleum gases etc)
A. Similarly to water fire extinguishers, AFFF foam fire extinguishers are designed to combat fires involving combustible solids, such as wood, cloth and paper. However, in addition to Class A fires, the AFFF foam fire extinguisher can be used on Class B flammable liquid fires. AFFF foam works by creating a thin layer between the flame and oxygen.
A. The foam in the fire extinguisher is Aqueous Film Forming Foam, commonly referred to as AFFF, and creates a layer over combustible liquids, smothering and quenching fires. AFFF works by suffocating or dousing the fire and sealing in any flammable vapours, preventing re-ignition. The foam will put out liquid fires by creating a thin barrier between the surface of the flammable fluid and the flame.
A. Fire extinguishers must be serviced every 12 months, this is known as the “basic service”. This service should be performed in accordance with British Standard BS5036-3 and conducted by a third-party, appropriately trained technician.

Fire Protection Shop specialise in the supply of high-quality fire extinguishers. There are many different classifications of fire and so our products include a variety of different extinguisher types. For example, we offer water or foam fire extinguishers for solid combustibles and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers for flammable liquid or electrical fires. Each extinguishing agent comes with its benefits. Typically, water extinguishers are cheaper, produce a cooling effect and prevent reignition once the fire has been extinguished. Carbon dioxide extinguishers are clean agents, they leave no residue, are suitable for electrical fires and are often used on liquid fires which include petrol, oil or other solvents.
In addition to our extinguishers, we offer a range of fire safety products to both domestic and commercial premises. This includes the supply of fire blankets, extinguisher stands, smoke alarms, first aid kits and much more. Our entire range is sourced from reputable brand manufacturers at competitive prices. Also, all of our products carry a full warranty and guarantee and are supplied with relevant fixings where applicable.
So, for fire extinguishers, alarms and all your other fire safety needs, trust Fire Protection Shop to give you the quality, expertise and service you require.
