Astro X Series Intumescent Pipe Collar

Astro X Series CE Pipe Collars are specially engineered fire protection products designed to seal openings around plastic pipe penetrations. They use advanced graphite-based intumescent technology, which expands under heat to form a robust fire barrier.

Developed for high expansion and pressure resistance, the X Series CE Collar has been fire tested to achieve ratings of EI120 and EI240 in line with EN 1366-3:2009 standards, covering pipe sizes up to 250mm in diameter. With an ultra-slim profile of just 30mm or 40mm depth, these collars are suitable for installation even in restricted spaces.

The collars can be fitted to both flexible and rigid wall systems as well as rigid floors, and are also suitable for use in combination with Astro Batt systems. They are approved for use with common plastic piping, including polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Testing has included end-cap arrangements for U/U, C/U, U/C, and C/C pipe configurations.

When installed around combustible pipes, the Astro X Series CE Collar restores the fire resistance of walls and floors where service penetrations are present. Each collar contains a steel casing with an integrated intumescent lining that expands in a fire, sealing the pipe and preventing flames and smoke from spreading.

Supplied ready for use without fixings, the collars are designed to be wrapped around the pipe at the soffit or on both sides of wall penetrations, depending on the application.
